A new NPC has quietly made its way into Palworld, despite not being mentioned in recent patch notes from publisher and developer Pocketpair. Over the summer, Palworld has undergone numerous changes, including the addition of a new Syndicate stronghold teeming with aggressive enemies. This latest NPC is directly linked to this challenging area.

The Sakurajima Update, released on June 27, introduced many new features to Palworld, such as 14 new Pals, 10 fusion Pals, and several new locations. These include the island of Sakurajima, the Arena in Dessicated Desert, and the Rayne Syndicate-controlled Oil Rig stronghold off the eastern coast of Marsh Island. A subsequent patch in late July introduced the new NPC.

This friendly NPC, a Cautious PIDF Officer, now spawns on Marsh Island and warns players about the high-level stronghold nearby. Reddit user 7max-er noted the officer's appearance, which was not mentioned in the game's latest patch notes. When approached, the officer advises players that the Oil Rig built by the Syndicate is dangerous and should be avoided. The NPC can be found just east of the fast-travel point on Marsh Island.
